Poaching of MLAs

The BJP is using all the dirty tricks in its political armour to destabilise elected Government not in consonance with their philosophy. If the MLAs are crossing over, it is simply because they are amenable to pressures to be embroiled in legal cases against their acts of corruption. Alternatively they are lured by financial gains of unimaginable magnitudes. There is always a bait of position of power and amenities that are part of the bargain. It is not far fetched theory that rats always desert the sinking ship Whichever way you look at it the vulnerable swallow the bait. Defections officially under certain conditions are lawful. The political parties have deliberately allowed such legal amendments without many protests as it is a win-win situation in times of emergencies of toppling game and come to power by the back door.
Is it not said that all is fair in love and war and also in politics too? Political pundits are continuously at this game of chess outsmarting the opponents at crucial junctures by moving fast and taking the opponents by surprise. The greed for power, position, and influence is a universal trait that is difficult to resist at all times.
There are always political upsurges with times and not being with the flowing waters is going against natural forces and not taking the path of least resistance. Those that are used to power and position for long cannot remain in isolation and hence send feelers of willingness to change the baton mid way to finish the race.
Presently the fortunes of ruling party are on the pedestal and opposition forces for one reason or the other are unable to match the rising trends.  Besides it is far easier to come to power by back door and appears perfectly justified and lawful to manipulate the legal loopholes. The BJP has attained mastery in this game of political manipulations as it is seen in Bihar, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, UP, etc, outsmarting the opponents with surprise, shocking crossovers.
The only and best way to beat these defections is to change the law that anyone wishing to change sides is to seek re-elections.
