Air ambulance crashes minutes after Ranchi take-off, seven feared onboard

A chartered air ambulance crashed minutes after taking off from Birsa Munda Airport, officials said. Initial reports suggested the aircraft had gone missing between Palamu and Latehar. However, authorities later confirmed that the private air ambulance had crashed in Kathiyatu under Simaria police station limits in Chatra district.

According to preliminary information, seven people were on board the aircraft at the time of the incident. The air ambulance was scheduled to reach Delhi by 7 pm. Reports indicate the aircraft lost contact about 20 minutes after take-off from Ranchi, allegedly due to bad weather. Further details about casualties and the cause of the crash are awaited as authorities continue their investigation.
