People have the right to protest, but they must maintain decorum and avoid taking the law into their own hands, the Chief Minister said. He urged protestors and MLAs not to stage demonstrations outside ministers’ residences, citing concerns over personal privacy. The Chief Minister noted that the 39A matter is currently sub judice and discussions can take place in court. He also pointed out that no formal permission was sought for the protest and no designated route had been finalised.
