Air passengers on both domestic and international routes may soon face higher ticket prices as the cost of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) has surged globally amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia.
Industry sources said ATF accounts for nearly 40 per cent of an airline’s operational costs, making fuel price fluctuations a major factor influencing ticket fares. With global fuel prices rising sharply, airlines have begun adjusting their pricing structures to offset the increased expenditure.
