‘Sheesh Mahal 2.0’ row returns as BJP shares photo of Kejriwal’s alleged mansion

The BJP has once again targeted Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, this time sharing a photograph of a sprawling bungalow in Chandigarh’s Sector 2, which it labelled ‘Sheesh Mahal 2.0’. The party alleged that the lavish two-acre residence was allotted by the Punjab government, accusing Kejriwal of hypocrisy for living luxuriously while claiming to represent the common man.

The post, shared by BJP Delhi on X, echoed the party’s earlier campaign narrative from the Delhi elections, where Kejriwal was accused of misusing ₹45 crore of public funds on renovations. AAP MP Swati Maliwal also shared the same image, criticising the Punjab government for “serving one man”.

The AAP has yet to comment. The Delhi ‘Sheesh Mahal’, central to last year’s controversy, is now being converted into a government guest house.
