PONDA: Ponda Police on Monday arrested a 61-year-old Kerala native one Antony Thomas D’Cruz presently residing at Marcel for allegedly kidnapping an 11-year-old girl from Marcel.
The victim’s elder brother filed a complaint with the Ponda Police. According to police, the incident took place on Sunday morning when the accused kidnapped the minor girl in a rickshaw at Ponda and later took her to Collem in a bus where he kept the victim in the custody of his relative, a fish vendor.

A team under the guidance of Ponda PI Prajyoth Fadte brought the girl to the police station. She was sent to GMC for medical examination and would be shifted to Apna Ghar. Police arrested the accused in Collem and brought him to police station on Monday evening.
