MAPUSA: Calangute Police arrested 34-year-old Ivory Coast national Kouaha Henry for illegally possessing ganja worth Rs 56,500 near Dongorpur junction, Calangute.
According to Calangute police, a team of Calangute police headed by PI Nolasco Raposo and comprising of PSI Laxi Amonkar, HC Devidas Haldankar, PC Shasank Sakhalkar, Dinesh Morajkar, Sumeet Mutkekar and Suresh Naik while on patrol duty, apprehended the accused near Dongorpur junction, Calangute with ganja worth Rs 56,500 in his scooter. LPSI Pragati Malik is investigating the case.

It may be recalled that Pernem Police had arrested Vasily Rakhmanov, a Russian National and seized drugs worth R 1.65 crore at Morjim. The accused was found cultivating cannabis plants illegally on the terrace, which was rented to him.
