MARGAO: Vasco PI Sagar Ekoskar along with Verna PSI D K Bhat managed to recover stolen goods worth Rs 1.45 lakh which include laptop, Siemens electric motor, welding machine pipes, SS and MS material, SS rods, MS cylindrical machine roller, ENe rod and transmission shaft from arrested accused Venkatesh Suresh Chalwadi, 22 of Vasco, Sandeep Ingle, 38 of Dabolim and Nilesh Kavlekar, 32 of Comba Cuncolim. These articles were stolen from Artis Manufacturing Solutions, IDC Sancoale.
A complaint was filed in this respect on June 13 by Prashant Prakash Udpikar, Salkar residency, Chicalim. Addressing media persons, south Goa Superintendent of Police, Vijay Singh, stated that Chalwadi was arrested under section 41 CrPC on suspicion by Margao police and in the course of interrogation he admitted to committing the theft at IDC Sancoale. He was handed over to Verna police. The co-accused Ingle, Kavlekar are in custody while two others Ajay and Raj Singh, both from Birla are absconding.
