DABOLIM: Gold ornaments, construction material, cash and laptop worth about Rs 3.38 lakh were stolen in three separate incidents reported in Verna Police station.
According to Verna Police, Sanjay Pirley complained that some persons stole his construction material and machinery worth Rs 2 lakh which were kept in his plot at Sancoale Industrial Estate on Monday night. Verna Police registered an offence under Section 380 of IPC and PSI Hiru Kavlekar is investigating the case.
In another incident, gold ornaments worth Rs 90,000 and cash of Rs 8,000 were stolen from a house.Sanjay Nanda complained that the incident took place on Tuesday morning when he had left for his work, while his wife had gone for a medical check up.
Verna Police said when Nanda’s wife returned home, she found the lock of the front door broken and cupboard open. Nanda’s wife immediately informed Verna Police who rushed at the site and during investigation found gold ornaments worth Rs 90,000 and cash of Rs 8,000 stolen.
Verna Police have registered a case against unknown person and Head Constable Narendra Salgaonkar is investigating the case.
At Verna Industrial Estate, Sanjay Naik, HR Manager of a pharmaceutical company complained that on Tuesday morning, some persons entered his cabin and stole his laptop worth Rs 40,000.
Verna Police have registered a case against unknown persons and Head Constable Vinay Khott is investigating the case.
