MARGAO: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly raped his five-year-old step daughter and is now absconding after committing this heinous act.
Following a complaint lodged by the victim’s mother, the Maina-Curtorim police have registered a case under Section 376 (rape) and 506(ii) (threatening with dire consequences) of the IPC and also under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

According to the police, the crime was committed on October 29 at around 10 pm on a railway platform at Hubbali and the victim was threatened against informing anybody about what had happened.
It was only after the family arrived in Goa that the child informed her mother about the incident that occurred when the family had gone to drop their handicapped son studying at Hubali.
As the incident happened in Hubali, Maina Curtorim police have registered an offence and forwarded it to Hubali police station.
