MAPUSA: Residents of Zorwado in Anjuna are frustrated as they have been deprived of tap water for the past year. Despite the inauguration of a new bore well in their ward, which was expected to resolve their water issues, the situation has not improved.

completed a month ago, but it has not been made operational. Instead, the
authorities have been conducting
water testing and installing valves during this time.
“Even a month after the well was inaugurated, there is no water supply. We are receiving regular bills with zero charges. Our taps have been unused for a year, and are now stuck in place,” said a housewife.
While some areas receive water supply during midnight or early morning hours, disrupting locals’ sleep, others are solely dependent on water tankers.
