PANJIM: Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday announced six more candidates for the 2017 State Legislative Assembly polls in Goa. The party has so far announced 21 candidates of the 40 it plans to field.
Sandesh Talekar will contest from Canacona constituency which is currently represented by BJP minister Ramesh Tawadkar. In Sanquelim constituency, Milind Gauns will probably face BJP MLA Pramod Sawant. Gauns is a former Youth Congress leader.
In Curchorem, James Maxie Fernandes will contest on the AAP ticket. The constituency is now represented by BJP MLA Nilesh Cabral. In Aldona constituency currently represented by BJP’s Glenn Ticlo, AAP has fielded Ursula D’Souza, a lady activist.
Former Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party leader, Pradip Ghadi Amonkar, who joined AAP will be the party candidate from Tivim constituency. BJP MLA Kiran Kandolkar is currently the MLA from this constituency.
In Fatorda, AAP has fielded Ranjit Cotta Carvalho who will probably face Independent MLA Vijai Sardessai.
