As part of the Aam Aadmi Party government’s push to modernise Punjab’s agriculture and industrial sectors, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday met a delegation from the Republic of Korea in Chandigarh to strengthen bilateral cooperation. Mann said discussions focused on smart farming, agricultural machinery and biotechnology, with the aim of making agriculture a profitable venture. The visiting delegation appreciated Punjab’s rich heritage and favourable working environment, signalling growing international interest. Mann also took the Korean team on an industrial visit to the Swaraj tractor plant in Mohali to showcase the state’s manufacturing capabilities. He invited the delegation to participate in the Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit 2026, scheduled from March 13 to 15 in Mohali. The summit is expected to highlight investment opportunities across key sectors, including agriculture, technology and manufacturing.
