PANJIM: Goa government has decided to deploy additional police force at Baga-Calangute-Candolim belt by December this year in the backdrop of a molestation case filed by a Chinese tourist against three domestic tourists earlier this week.
BJP’s Calangute MLA demanded that government should take serious cognizance of the case and initiate steps to ensure tourists are safe along the popular coastal tourist belt. He was speaking during Zero Hour in the Goa Assembly on Friday. Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar assured that additional police force including new recruits who are presently undergoing basic training at PTS, Valpoi will be deployed.
