PANJIM: The Department of Agriculture has constituted various bodies. These includes the State Level Inter Departmental Working Group (IDWG) to initiate and oversee the activities for implementation of the Centrally Sponsored Schemes of ‘Support to State Extension Programme for Extension Reforms’ and also to ensure effective coordinate among the Departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries etc
The Governing Board, a policy making body, was also formed to provide guidance and review the progress and functioning of the Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA). An ATMA managing committee under the Sub Mission on Agriculture Extension (SMAE) of the National Mission on Agricultural Extension and Technology (NMAET) was also constituted.

The Agriculture Department constituted a State Farmer Advisory Committee (SFAC) which would act as the Planning and Operational arm of the State Agricultural Management Extension Training Institute – Goa (SMAETI-Goa). District Farmer Advisory Committee (DAFC) and Block Farmer Advisory Committee (BFAC) were also constituted.
