Anjuna Police Arrests Two More Persons In Connection With The Assault, Extortion Of Tourists At Thalassa Restaurant In Siolim

Anjuna Police on Tuesday evening arrested two more persons in connection with the assault, extortion of tourists at Thalassa restaurant in Siolim. It has been also revealed that the said security agency was operating without PASARA license.

As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi during investigation the proprietor Deven Arlekar of Goa Force Security Services, Siolim was summoned and interrogated during which it was revealed that he was running the agency without the required PASARA license necessary for operating a Security agency.

Hence police have written to Collector North Goa for taking appropriate action as per The Private Security Regulations Act.

The police have also seized the scooter used by accused persons to flee after committing the crime and also freezed the bank account into which the extorted amount was transferred. The said account was found to be used by one Rohit Bhosle, resident of Agarwado and further the extorted amount was transferred into account of accused Omkar Pathrud, resident of Agarwado. 

Further investigation is in progress with PSI Sahil Warang under the supervision of PI Prashal Dessai, SDPO Mapuca jivba Dalvi and SP North Nidhin Valsan IPS.
