PERNEM: Arambol Panch Bernardo Pascal Fernandes who was booked for allegedly verbally abusing and assaulting Arambol Sarpanch Inacio Danial D’Souza and panch Anil Barde on Sunday has been granted anticipatory bail.
Fernandes had allegedly assaulted and verbally abused D’Souza and Barde on Sunday during a meeting of garbage committee convened to discuss garbage management in the village. However, as the discussion was on, Bernardo started arguing with the committee members and later started abusing D’Souza and Barde over a minor issue. Later, Fernandes allegedly pushed D’Souza and Barde on ground and kicked them. Bernardo was booked under Sections 353 and 504 of IPC.
