Archdiocese expresses gratitude

The Archdiocese of Goa and Daman has expressed its deep gratitude to Cardinal Ivan Dias, who retired as a key Vatican official on Tuesday.
“Being a son of Goa, it is a matter of pride for us Goans that he occupied senior most posts in the Vatican and also served the Vatican’s envoy in different countries,” said Fr Francisco Caldeira, spokesman for the Archdiocese.
“We thank him for the interest shown to the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman and we wish him all the very best in his future work as leader of the church,” Fr Caldeira added.
