Authorities have announced that the junction at Soro Bar in Assagao will remain closed to all vehicular traffic for three days starting tonight, as underground electricity cable work is currently underway in the Assagao–Badem area.
Commuters travelling towards Siolim or Mandrem from Anjuna, Vagator, or Assagao have been advised to use the Badem route via the Vagator Petrol Pump road. Similarly, those heading from Siolim towards Anjuna or Calangute are advised to divert through Marna–Mapusa–Assagao or via Siolim Vaddy–Badem.
Officials have requested the public to cooperate with government agencies and the Traffic Police to ensure smooth traffic flow during the temporary closure.
