At last, parts of Cotigao to get power

AGONDA: The lives of Cotigao residents will finally brighten as the villagers of this remote hamlet will get power supply after decades.

Sarpanch Anandu Desai told villagers that the extremely remote area of Keri will be receiving electricity in the upcoming days.

The residents in this area were living in the darkness and bereft of basic amenities — thanks to strict and rigid rules of the wildlife law.

“Rs 3.69 crore has been sanctioned for the respective work and the order signed by Electricity Department’s Chief Electrical Engineer Stephen Fernandes has been issued,” said Desai.
