MARGAO: Colva Police on Tuesday arrested four persons in connection with a case of restraining and assaulting assistant parish priest of Our Lady of Succour Church, Carmona.

Police said they were later released on bail.
According to police, based on the complaint lodged by one Denrish D’Costa, assistant parish priest, an offence is registered against the four alleged accused under Section 341, 323 read with 34 of IPC.
Police arrested the four alleged accused from Carmona namely Antonio Rebelo (60) of Chowki, Akash Rebelo (21) of Chowki, Clinton Fernandes (30), near fish market and Mark Afonso, major in age of Janot Bazaar.
The alleged accused persons with common intention wrongfully restrained the complainant from entering the Parochial House thereby causing injuries.
