PANJIM: Tourism Minister Manohar Azgaonkar on Wednesday proposed to foster tourism ties with a Chinese town, during an interaction with the Mayor of Lishui, Zhu Chen and his delegation. The ten-member delegation is in Goa as part of their four-day visit to India.
“Lishui is a beautiful tourism hub in Eastern China and a haunt for Indian tourists. We both have expressed eagerness to boost tourism ties between the two regions,” Azgaonkar said .
Chen said he was overwhelmed by the warmth and hospitality extended to them by Goa Tourism and described Goa as a well-developed State. Meanwhile, Zhu Chen visited the CCP. Moved by CCP’s hospitality, he said, “We are here to develop better relationships and would like to share sister city relations with Panjim.”
Panjim Mayor Surendra Furtado expressed to his counterpart the love Goans have for Chinese products and cuisine. Furtado added that CCP is looking for happier days and said the addition of Chinese technology will benefit the city.
