BAMBOLIM-MERCES STRETCH CHOKED AS LONG TRAFFIC QUEUES HIT ROAD

A massive traffic jam was reported on the road stretch from near the Nexa showroom in Bambolim to Merces Junction, with heavy congestion affecting traffic in both directions. Vehicles were seen moving slowly as long queues built up along the busy stretch. Traffic coming from the Porvorim elevated corridor and merging near Merces Junction further added to the bottleneck. The congestion resulted in significant delays for motorists travelling through the area. With vehicles backed up along the route, commuters faced difficulties navigating the stretch as traffic movement remained slow amid the heavy rush.
