The Bicholim fire personnel were kept on its toes on Wednesday, as incidents of uprooting of trees were reported in several parts of the taluka.
According to reports, three trees were uprooted at Mayem, two at Chodan, one each at Pilgao, Advalpal, Karapur-Sanquelim and Mulgao. In most of these areas, roads were blocked for vehicular traffic.
At Mulgao, a tree fell on electricity pole leading to failure of power failure in the area. At Lamgao, a compound wall collapsed on the house belonging to one Balaji Prabhugaonkar.
