Addressing a news conference in the city on Thursday, BJP MLAs from the taluka including Dr Sawant and Deputy Speaker Anant Shet expressed confidence that the airport will be ready in the next four to five years.
Accusing Congress President Luizinho Falerio of playing politics over the issue, Dr Sawant dared the North Goa MLAs to come out in the open on the issue. “It was BJP’s promise that Mopa airport will be constructed and we are almost close to fulfilling the promise. We now demand with the Congress MLAs from North Goa to make their stand clear over Mopa airport,” stated Dr Sawant.
