MARGAO: The BJP on Thursday castigated Margao MLA Digambar Kamat for his remark that the High Court order marked the end of the saffron party in Goa.
The BJP accused Kamat of “finishing” the Congress from within since the 2012 election results and alleged that the Margao MLA has been systematically “finishing” the Bahujan Samaj in the State.
BJP spokesperson Urfan Mulla, Bhai Naik and others were present for the press conference.
“The illegal mining that you did when you were Chief Minister has finished the mining business and employment. Kamat is a person out on bail in JICA-Louis Berger case,” Mulla charged.
“When there is no clearance from the Congress Central leadership and when the Fatorda Block of Congress is not in agreement of a tie-up with the Goa Forward party, Kamat is out to tie-up with the party,” he claimed.
Bhai Naik alleged that Digambar is after my son, who is the candidate backed by the BJP in Ward 22. People of Margao will teach him a lesson in Assembly elections”.
Bhai questioned Kamat on his failure to have a kabrastan in Margao for the Muslim community.
