PANJIM: Putting an end to speculations the BJP on Thursday released a second list of candidates for six constituencies, and is likely to support independent candidates in the constituencies of Navelim, Curtorim and Velim besides Cumbarjua.
The BJP had declared that it will contest in 31 constituencies, and in its first list released on February 3 declared candidates for 22 constituencies.
The second list released on Thursday had names of six constituencies. For Bicholim it has selected Manohar Shirodkar, Tivim – Kiran Kandolkar, Margao – Rupesh Mahatme, Curchorem – Nilesh Cabral, Sanvordem -Ganesh Goankar and for Sanguem – Subhash Dessai.
Addressing a press conference on Thursday here the BJP State President Laxmikant Parsekar said the BJP is thinking of lending support to independent candidates in the three constituencies.
