MARGAO: Resident of Varca Nazario Pinto on Monday said that Narendra Modi will not forget Goa if he becomes the next Prime Minister, while exuding confidence that the BJP South Goa candidate will take a lead over all other candidates in the Benaulim segment in the April 12 poll.
Addressing the media, Pinto said the people of Benaulim will vote for the good works carried out by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar during the last two years. “We are not concerned what is happening at the national level. Parrikar government has three years to go and we have to strengthen the hands of the Chief Minister to solve Goa’s problems”, he said.
Reminding that Chief Minster Manohar Parrikar had proposed Narendra Modi’s candidature during the BJP convention in Goa last year, Pinto said that Modi will not forget the love and affection shown to him by Goans.
“The Chief Minister has solved the medium of instruction policy. It was the Congress government that had brought the parents on the streets. Parrikar had solved the pension problem of retired seafarers,” he said.
