The BJP State unit welcomed the Union Budget presented
by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley terming it as transparent and will lead to
corruption-free governance.
South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar, addressing a press
conference, said that Arun Jaitley’s budget is inclusive of development,
transformation, corruption-free and transparent government.

“If you see the salient point of budget 2014, 2015,
2016 and now 2017 there is a continuity for making India a super-power,” he
said adding “It is inclusive for corruption free governance.”
Pointing to the limit on political donations in cash,
he said, “BJP is the first party which has taken a decision that political
donations only upto Rs 2000 will be in cash and rest in cheques.”
“Being a political party no-one else could bring this
transparency. The decision is remarkable,” he said.
Sawaikar said that the the nation will benefit from
the budget.
Asked whether the BJP will benefit from the budget
announcement in the ensuing polls in five states, he said, “moreover, the
nation will benefit and as BJP is part of the country, definitely, it will
benefit .”
