BJP State President Damu Naik on Friday announced that the party is set to introduce at least 80 percent fresh faces in the upcoming Zilla Panchayat (ZP) elections. Emphasizing the BJP’s structure as an organisation-driven party, Naik said candidate selection will be based primarily on two criteria — winnability and the candidate’s public appeal.
He further revealed that the party has already taken key decisions regarding the selection process, and the final list of probable candidates will be released within the next four to five days.
Naik added that the BJP aims to strike a balance between new leadership and grassroots support, ensuring strong representation across constituencies for the upcoming polls.
