Bull fights keep cops busy

The Men-in-Uniform were kept busy on their toes in Salcete on Wednesday to keep bull fights at bay.
While the Maina Curtorim police rushed to Curtorim this morning to foil a planned bull fight, personnel of the Margao police descended at Navelim on Wednesday noon to crack a whip on a bull fight.
Sources in the know informed that a Maina Curtorim police rushed to Curtorim with skeleton staff to stop a bull fight.
A huge crowd that assembled to watch the bulls locking horns, even as the Maina Curtorim police informed that they have been successful in foiling the bull fight.
At Navelim, the police made their presence felt well before the bulls and the dhirio enthusiasts turned up at the venue.
And, the police maintained that no bull fight took place at the venue.
