Calangute Police have arrested Amandeep Orare, 26, a resident of Dongargarh, Chhattisgarh, for allegedly raping a woman at a villa in Calangute over a period spanning from 2022 to 2025 under the pretext of marriage.
According to police, the accused not only repeatedly sexually assaulted the complainant but also physically assaulted her over petty disputes and issued threats to intimidate her.

The case was initially registered with Mumbai Police before being transferred to Goa for further investigation. Following coordinated efforts, the accused was traced, apprehended, and brought to Goa on a four-day transit remand.
Police said further inquiries are underway, and additional statements will be recorded as part of the investigation.
