Following several viral videos showing foreign female tourists being harassed by domestic male tourists on beaches, the Calangute police have launched a special crackdown to curb such incidents and ensure the safety of visitors.
Police officials have issued a strong warning that strict action will be taken against anyone found clicking photographs or recording videos of women without their consent. Such offenders will be booked under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), police said.
