Calangute Police have registered a case of criminal breach of trust against a man accused of allegedly taking electronic devices worth ₹21.6 lakh from a shop and failing to either make payment or return the goods.
According to police, the complaint was lodged by a resident of Ponda, who stated that on January 10, the accused visited his shop in Calangute and selected 21 second-hand electronic devices, including iPhones, Samsung mobile phones and an iPad.

Police said the accused allegedly assured the shop staff that the payment would be made in cash within two days and handed over two bank cheques as security for the transaction.
However, the complainant alleged that the promised payment was never made and the electronic devices were also not returned, resulting in a loss of ₹21.6 lakh.
Based on the complaint, Calangute Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter. Further inquiry is being carried out by PSI Rajaram Bagkar to ascertain the facts and take appropriate legal action.
