CANACONA: Denouncing the attack on protestors at Valpoi, Canacona Go Premi Sangatna (CGPS) on Thursday demanded arrest of the culprits and a halt in illegal transportation and slaughter of cows and other cattle.
CGPS made the demand in a memorandum submitted to Deputy Collector Prashant Shirodkar and Canacona PI Harishchandra Madkaikar condemning the Valpoi incident. Activists demanded arrest of the culprits responsible for assault on Hanumant Parab, Suhas Joshi and Pundalik Bote.
CGPS also demanded strong government action to stop the menace of illegal transportation and slaughtering of cows and other cattle.
“Illegal transportation of cattle and slaughter is also going on in Canacona and government should without any fear check and stop atrocities on animals,” informed a activist, Jeetendra Amshekar.
