Pedestrians and two-wheeler riders also complained about getting drenched whenever a vehicle rode into a water-logged stretch and splashed water everywhere.
They criticized the PWD for failing repair the roads after they were dug and the district administration for failing to take notice. With the torrential rains, they fear the problems will only worsen and lead to a loss of life and property.
The residents and commercial establishments also raised concern about non-functional streetlights in certain places.
