A car plunged into a pit dug for ongoing flyover construction work at Chimbel on Thursday, leaving the driver trapped inside the vehicle. Fire and Emergency Services (FES) personnel rushed to the scene and carried out a swift rescue operation.
The driver was safely pulled out of the pit and escaped without any injuries, officials confirmed. An investigation into the incident is underway, with authorities expected to review safety measures at the construction site.
