Carnival parade on Fatorda route today

To begin at 3 pm; Collector says decision is purely on the basis of administrative convenience and public safety point of view

MARGAO: The collector along with top government officials of South Goa on Saturday unanimously decided to hold carnival parade on Fatorda route on February 23.

The carnival parade will begin at 3 pm at Fatorda and the administration has geared up for the preparation as they get only 24 hours for the set up. This decision has put an end to the ambiguity in the matter of holding of the carnival parade.

Though lost, the members of opposition council are not ready to take the defeat lying down.
