PANJIM: The Panjim Police have registered an FIR against the staff and management of Cruise Casino Pride for obstructing officials of the Directorate of Enforcement during an investigation on December 12, on board the cruise.

According to police, Poluri Chenna Kesava Rao, Assistant Director, Directorate of Enforcement, Mangaluru, Karnataka, lodged a complaint stating that at Cruise Casino Pride, the alleged accused identified as Ashok Wadia, Director of Cruise Casino Pride, Gopal Ramnath Naik, Arti Raja staff of Casino Pride and others deterred him and his investigation team.
The accused also disobeyed the order promulgated by Directorate of Enforcement official Piyush Kumar Yadav, Joint Director, threatened to cause injury and wrongfully confined them in a room while they were discharging their lawful duty in official capacity and destroyed the evidence which was collected by them during the search proceeding as per section 17 PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) in the crime registered by Enforcement Department.
Further investigation is in progress with PSI Rohan Nageshkar of Panjim Police Station.
