Sources indicated that he has refused to ‘give proper’ answers to Crime Branch’s (CB) investigation into Goa’s Watergate claiming ‘it is a technical issue’.
Interestingly, he has been dragging former chief minister Digambar Kamat in his replies. “So far, he has refused to cooperate with the investigation,” a senior officer said. Alemao was grilled for nearly two hours and 20 minutes by CB officials on the second day of his questioning on Wednesday.
“I said whatever I had to before the CB sleuths,” he told reporters emerging out of the CB office. He declined to answer any questions regarding Kamat. Sources said Alemao and Kamat would be called for another round of questioning.
Meanwhile, the District and Sessions Court will hear Anand Wachasundar’s bail plea on Friday when his remand period ends.
