The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the admit cards for the Main Examination 2026 for Class 10 and Class 12 private candidates. Students appearing as private candidates can download their admit cards from the official CBSE website. Carrying the admit card to the examination centre is mandatory, as entry will not be permitted without it.
The admit card provides subject-wise details, including theory marks, practical or internal assessment marks, total marks, and minimum passing requirements. Core subjects such as English, Hindi, Mathematics and Science follow the 80+20 marking scheme, while vocational subjects have varied formats like 60+40, 70+30 or 50+50. CBSE has also clarified that eligible candidates include private candidates, essential repeaters, compartment candidates and those seeking improvement in performance.
