CCP directed to solve hotel garbage woes

The High Court of Bombay at Goa on Tuesday directed the Corporation of the City of Panjim to come out with a permanent solution to the festering problem of garbage generated by some hotels in the city, even as the Deputy Mayor said the issue would be raised in a meeting tomorrow.
A division bench today directed the CCP after hearing a petition filed by Travel and Tourism Association of Goa stating that the Corporation had stopped picking up garbage of these hotels.
Similarly, the bench headed by Justice P B Majumdar and Justice U D Salvi disposing off the petition directed the Corporation to collect the hotel waste three times a week as per its earlier order till alternate arrangements were made.
