The Government of India’s Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Authority (PPV&FRA) has invited proposals for funding support from the National Gene Fund to promote the conservation of plant genetic resources.
The funding will focus on two main areas: in-situ and ex-situ conservation of plant genetic resources, and building the capacity of panchayats to implement conservation and sustainable practices effectively.
