PANJIM: In what could set the ball rolling for by-elections in Goa, the Chief Electoral Office (CEO) has communicated to the Election Commission of India (ECI) of the vacancies created at Panjim and Valpoi Assembly constituencies following the resignations of the MLAs.
Speaking to Herald, Additional CEO Narayan Navti said, “We have informed about resignation of Valpoi MLA Vishwajit Rane and Panjim MLA Siddharat Kuncolienkar. Vacancies have been created in both constituencies and by-elections have to be held within six months of the resignation of the MLAs.”
