VASCO: A Tamil Nadu family was plunged into grief after they lost their child in a tragic accident at Vasco on Wednesday.
The tragedy occurred when the toddler’s father Kalilulla Khan had stopped at a petrol pump at Vasco to fill fuel in the rent-a-bike which the family was using to travel during their holiday in the State. Khan accidentally lost his balance and the two-wheeler skidded resulting in the child falling down. The little girl was rushed to the Sub-District Hospital, Chicalim where she was declared brought dead.
According to the Vasco police, the family after arriving in the State hired a rent-a-bike at Dabolim. The father lost his balance as he reportedly forgot to put the side stand down. In the process, the parents along with the two-wheeler toppled onto the 34-month-old child, police said.
The Vasco Police have registered a case of unnatural death in this regard and are conducting a detailed investigation into the accident.
