MARGAO: The Chinchinim Trust has released the list of students who won various scholarships it has instituted which are sponsored by various people from Chinchinim. Besides, they announced a new scholarship to be given to students of the schools in Chinchinim featuring in the merit list of the Goa Board.
Senalda Palesa Noronha who scored 90.83 per cent marks won altogether 46 awards including scholarships amounting to Rs 57,385 as she ranked first amongst the girls from Assolna Velim, Cuncolim and Chinchinim and also got the highest marks in Konkani and Mathematics.
Salrima Sancy Fernandes who scored 88.66 per cent bagged 25 awards including scholarships amounting to Rs 34,845. She stood first in Chinchinim in Hindi, social sciences and second in Mathematics and English.
Menchie Dwelly Fernandes who got 87.33 per cent marks won 16 awards and scholarships amounting to Rs 12,300 as she was ranked third in Chinchinim and scored the highest marks in Science and Mathematics combined.
Anju Naik, Junka Vellery, Diviya Kochre shared the prize for marks in English and each of them got Rs 550 while Valanka Rebello got three awards and Rs 3930 as she stood second in science and Konkani.
Leeina Cardoz bagged Rs 2000 for ranking third in Konkani while Ethan Colaso who got the highest marks amongst the males in Chinchinim won Rs 1,500 and Aaran Moses Crasto got Rs 3000 for scoring the highest marks amongst the male students in Assolna, Velim and Chinchinim.
Maryllia Dias got the prize for Konkani and gets Rs 450 while Farhan Mukhari, Aryan Shrivasta, Swapnil Gawas all from Guardian Angel School got Rs 2000 each for scoring 94 marks in Science.
Aldrich Fernandes who scoured 86.67 per cent marks in Std XII exams gets the Rev Canon Jose Roberto Vaz award of Rs 2500.
Astrid Barreto who got 75.66 per cent at the XII standard exams gets Rs 500 while Muriel Miranda who scored 78 per cent gets Rs 3,450.
Others who bagged awards are Cyble Rebello, Sarena Leitao, Shaik M Mujib. The following won the scholarships to pursue their degree course studies: Megan Rodrigues, Genevieve Fernandes, Neflee Fernandes, Senalda Noronha, Steffie Rebello, Salrima Fernandes, Philroy Dias.
