We are residing in Anjuna since many years but for the last 2 to 3 years there are frequent power cuts. There are no street lights at all in the off season due to which there are many robberies taking place every year.
The Electricity Department officials tell us to “please inform your ward member, after that only they can replace the lights or see the faults.”
Even after informing the ward members several times no appropriate action is taken to repair the lights on the streets. The Flea market road, beach road, football ground road, Pequeno Peddem are in total darkness.
Local people are fed up of complaining. There are no police vans patrolling night time. Locals don’t know who will take the responsibility of people’s safety in the village.
