On March 28, 2014, the sanitary inspector, Peter of Primary Health Centre, Curtorim conducted site inspection, upon my complaint, of overflowing chambers of septic tank of the neighbouring Karangate building, into my compound, in the presence of Sarpanch, Julio Monteiro and me. The said inspector and the sarpanch saw for themselves the nuisance and health hazard posed and accordingly a notice was issued to the residents by Primary Health Centre, Curtorim to carry out the repairs within a week’s time.
The residents of Karangate building wrote back to the Health Officer enclosing a copy of a quotation from the contractor for repairs amounting to around Rs 90,000and that some residents/shopkeepers were not ready to contribute towards the repairs.
Thereafter, despite several reminders to Dr Rajendra Borkar and flip flops by him including to stating that the residents had carried out the repairs and the Directorate of Health Services asking him to do a fresh inspection in a letter dated 18th June 2014, till date the problem has not been resolved. He is also guilty of forewarning the residents of his 1st July inspection since the residents were seen cleaning the cleaning their compound and burning the garbage in the pit with the help of labour. Some garbage is thrown outside the drains.
The various flip flops of health officer, Dr Borkar show how corrupt he is. I demand that he should be suspended pending inquiry. Dr Borkar must remember that I have recorded clips of his talk and that he cannot escape.
