A laptop caught fire aboard American Airlines Flight 2398 while the aircraft was nearing Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, leaving five passengers with minor burn injuries.
The flight, travelling from Atlanta to Dallas, was carrying 133 passengers and crew when smoke and flames were reported towards the rear of the cabin. Flight attendants quickly responded, extinguished the fire and moved the burning laptop to contain the situation.
The aircraft landed safely at DFW Airport, where emergency responders and medical teams were waiting. Several passengers were assessed, while one received treatment at the scene before being released. American Airlines praised the crew for their swift and professional response.
