An exposed gap has been noticed in between the concrete slabs placed along the pavement adjacent to Almeida High School in the vicinity of old bus stand in Ponda. Pedestrians, in particular, school students and their parents often walk their way along this strategic location. There is every possibility of any pedestrian collapsing inside the drain through the exposed gap.
It would certainly result in disastrous consequences. Senior citizens would ultimately suffer the most. It is absolutely necessary that safety is assured to innocent pedestrians on a permanent basis.
As on Friday, August 9, situation in this regard was found to be unchanged. Quick positive action would indeed be appreciated by one and all.
